Mark Webber has sided with the much-criticised opinion of Ferrari, by describing the recent dramas surrounding the new teams – Campos and USF1’s situations in particular – as “embarrassing” for the sport.

With Campos having recently been bought out and set to be renamed as Hispania Racing Team and USF1 looking certain to abort its 2010 season, the two-time Grand Prix winner compared the current situation with children’s cartoons.

"It’s embarrassing," the Queanbeyan driver explained to the Australian Associated Press. "It’s incredible that people who haven’t yet turned a wheel take part in Grands Prix. It’s the sort of stuff from Mickey Mouse or Tom and Jerry."
