Force India has announced that its Business Affairs Director, Ian Phillips, will be leaving the team.

A former editor with AUTOSPORT, Phillips has worked some 19 years with the team, under its various guises of Jordan, Midland, Spyker and now Force India.

Phillips was primarily responsible for sponsorship acquisition and was involved in the teams’ driver negotiations and the hiring of some 50 drivers during his time with the team.

No news if Phillips is moving to another team. He is the second high-profile departure from the team following Technical Director James Key jumping ship to Sauber.
