In the wake of the Albert Park pitlane speed limit being reduced from 100km/h to 60km/h at the behest of the FIA safety delegate, Charlie Whiting, the opening day of practice at the Australian GP has already seen three drivers fined for exceeding the speed limit.
Force India’s Adrian Sutil and HRT’s Bruno Senna have both been fined a total of €1,600 fir their respective leadfoot incidents.
The biggest fine went to Renault’s Vitaly Petrov, who has been fined a mammoth €7,000 for his speeding offence!
Vitaly’s dad is going to have to get the chequebook out again!
