…Only Mark Webber can drive in an amped-up manner in Australia!

Lewis Hamilton has moved to apologise for his “over-exuberant” driving after he was pulled over by police leaving the Albert Park circuit last night.

The McLaren driver performed a burn-out and fishtail along Lakeside Drive, and was consequently pulled over and booked by the cops.

Local media has reported that Lewis’ sponsor-issued Mercedes-Benz E500 was impounded, and Lewis will be charged on summons with the improper use of a vehicle.

The 2008 World Champion immediately moved to apologise for his gaffe.

"This evening, I was driving in an over-exuberant manner and, as a result, was stopped by the police," said Hamilton.

"What I did was silly, and I want to apologise for it."

Indeed, Lewis!
