Vitaly Petrov

As a mark of respect to his compatriots who last their lives in the recent suicide bomb blasts in his home nation of Russia, Vitaly Petrov will sport a black armband during the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend.

"This terrible news shocked me profoundly," Petrov said. "I would like to give my support to everybody who was affected by this tragedy. I will wear a black armband during the Malaysian Grand Prix in memory of the people who were killed or wounded at Lubyanka and Park Kultury stations.

"I’m sure organisers of this barbaric act will be found soon and brought to justice and I hope from all my heart that such a thing will never happen again."

Indeed, Vitaly. This is a patriotic cause!
