Packing some serious cars and serious power, the latest instalment in the complete season DVD / BluRay releases from the boys at Top Gear will thrill devotees of the show and casual fans alike.

Readers of our episode reviews from the award-winning show’s sixteenth season will be quite familiar with the offerings from Jeremy Clarkson, James May, Richard Hammond and The Stig, with this edition also including the complete Albania, Middle East and USA Road Trip specials.

Just some of the incredible cars featured on this series include the Pagani Zonda R, Ferrari’s most powerful roadgoing car ever, the 599 GTO, and the face-destroying Ariel Atmon V8.James May gets his thrills sampling the Ariel Atom V8

There’s also Jeremy in a Jaguar XJ racing against the sun across the width of the UK, Richard attempting to beat gravity in a Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, and James May gets to sample NASA’s lunar buggy in a commemorative piece to mark the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing.

On top of this, the usual array of celebrities get to sample the KIA Cee’d in the popular Star In A Reasonably Priced Car segment, with the likes of Shaun of the Dead duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, film director Danny Boyle and tennis ace Boris Becker all enjoying high-speed outings on the show’s test track.

Spanning three discs in an attractively packaged Steelbook, there’s almost ten hours of episode footage for viewers to enjoy – by far and away the best production effort from Top Gear and BBC Worldwide. There’s a good assortment of extra features, including:

  • Complete celebrity laps
  • Behind the scenes tours of the Top Gear production offices and recording studio
