Toro Rosso driver Jaime Alguersuari has been stripped of his championship point earned for finishing 10th at yesterday’s Belgian Grand Prix after a post-race penalty was awarded for cutting the Bus Stop chicane.
The Spaniard had 20 seconds added to his race time in lieu of a drive-through penalty after he ran off the track while passing Vitantonio Liuzzi’s Force India in the closing stages of the race.
The penalty demotes Alguersuari to 13th in the race results, while Liuzzi is promoted to 10th.
