The Thursday of a Grand Prix weekend is a quieter affair for teams and drivers, at least on the surface…

There’s always plenty of activity to undertake, with media calls, track walks and team debriefings being just a snapshot of every driver’s busy schedule.

But it’s also an opportunity to snapshot the drivers in quieter moments between gigs, and the chilly weather in Istanbul has prompted some of the teams’ clothing sponsors to break out their winter gear for their stars to model. Much of these clothes are available to the general public to purchase, and the importance of these marketing opportunities should not be underestimated…

  Lewis Hamilton
Very chic, Lewis … bedecked in Hugo Boss

So who made it work for their sponsors? Here’s a sample of the drivers at work…

Vitaly Petrov
A Renault splash jacket and some very fluffy hair – is Vitaly Petrov trying to spruik a shampoo deal?
Sebastian Vettel
Already sponsored by a dandruff shampoo, Sebastian Vettel covers his locks with a Red Bull hoodie
Jaime Alguersuari
Jaime Alguersuari braves the cold in a fleece and hoodie supplied by Toro Rosso’s clothing partner, Puma
Michael Schumacher
And when you’re Michael Schumacher, you wear whatever you like! Nice tan, too!
