The World Touring Car Championship stewards have allowed Scuderia Proteam BMW driver Fabio Fabiani to start both races today at Monza despite the Italian failing to post a qualifying lap time within 107% of the fastest time in Q1.

Fabio Fabiani will be allowed to start today's two races Being one of just two drivers on the high-speed Monza circuit using a normally-aspirated engine, Fabiani was well off the leading pace and failed to make the cut by 0.4 seconds on his fastest lap.

The stewards have decided that he can start both nine-lap races, albeit from the back of the grid.
