The HRT F1 team has landed a new sponsor whose stickers will adorn the rather bare flanks of the F112 chassis, with glass repairer Cristalbox signing on to the team for a one-year sponsorship deal.
The Spanish company has been the country’s leading glass and windscreen repairer for the last twenty years, while also having an association for motorsport as a sponsor of the Formula 1 broadcasts on Spanish television.
More recently, Cristalbox was an influential player in the HRT outfit’s relocation to its new headquarters at Madrid’s Caja Mágica facility, installing all of the glazing and interior ‘curtains’. The major work was completed in less than a month.
“Formula 1 is all about technology and speed, two basic principles which we share with Cristalbox. They are a leading company in our country and we’re proud that they decided to fully submerge in Formula 1 alongside us and fully back our project,” said HRT Team Principal Luis Pérez-Sala.
“I want to thank them for the trust they have put in us and also for the extraordinary efficiency with which they have completed the structure and glazing of the workshop area in our new headquarters at the Caja Mágica. It was a structural and temporal task and they passed it with flying colours. We hope to overcome many other tasks alongside them this year.”
“From an advertising point of view, after two years sponsoring Formula 1 broadcasts, this was the logical evolution: to form a part of the competition,” added Cristalbox General Manager Javier Celaya.
“With HRT we can support a credible Spanish project in the pinnacle of motorsport and strengthen the reach of our brand to our targets.”
