The grid for the 2013 Australian Grand Prix Madza6 Celebrity Challenge continues to fill up, with event organisers today announcing two more celebrity drivers at next year’s event.
Rachael Finch, former Miss Universe Australia, and V8 Supercars pit reporter Mark Beretta are the latest sign-ups to the event, which will see a field of twenty cars compete around Melbourne’s Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.
The pair were presented alongside the all-new Mazda6 at a ceremony in Sydney today, and they will join a growing list of celebrity racers from a wide variety of backgrounds, including former AFL player Chris Tarrant, celebrity chef Shane Delia and media personality Em Rusciano.
Also confirmed are Olympic gold medal winners Anna Mears and Sir Chris Hoy, along with Australian Paralympian Matthew Cowdrey.
“I love racing and I thrive on competition. I can’t wait to get out on the circuit at the Australian Grand Prix in March and to be a part of this unique challenge.”
The Mazda6 Celebrity Challenge will be one of several support category events staged during the Australian Grand Prix, which will also see the Australian Formula Ford, Porsche Carrera Cup and V8 Supercars Championship racers in action.
The 2013 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix will be held at Melbourne’s Albert Park Circuit between 14-17 March. Visit the event’s official website to purchase your event tickets.
