Ford Performance Racing has become the first team to showcase its 2013 V8 Supercars livery scheme – in the flesh, at least – with drivers Mark Winterbottom and Will Davison taking the covers off their new Pepsi Max sponsored Ford Falcons.
The new-look #5 and #6 machines were shown off in front of 200 VIP guests at a launch party in Melbourne this evening, with the two cars running reflected multicoloured liveries for the upcoming season.
The bold colour scheme continues Pepsi Max’s aggressive brand presence in the sport, as was the case when the drinks group sponsored Greg Murphy’s Holden Commodore during 2011-12.
This year’s livery has been designed by Pepsi graffiti artist ‘Hooks’ and FPR’s graphic designer Nick Moss, while it is also understood that both drivers also had a hand in picking the colour combinations.
Winterbottom will run a predominantly blue scheme in deference to his ‘Frosty’ nickname, while Davison has a more fiery yellow base.
We certainly think it’s a spectacular, eye-catching colour combo – do you like it?
