It’s on again! Join in the 2013 RichardsF1.com Predictions Championship!
Guess the pole-sitter, race winner, top-two teams, top eight finishers and the fastest lap-setter in each race for your chance to win great F1 prizes throughout the season.
THE FINE PRINT
Here’s how points are calculated each round:
2 points for correctly guessing the driver who claims pole position
2 points for correctly guessing the race winner
1 point for correctly guessing each of the top-two finishing teams, with an additional point for correctly guessing the order in which each team finishes
1 point for correctly guessing each of the top-eight finishing drivers, and an additional point for correctly guessing the order in which each of the top-eight finishing drivers finish
1 point for correctly guessing which driver will post the fastest lap of the race
1 point for correctly guessing which driver will gain the most places at the chequered flag relative to their race starting position
Entrants can also elect to double their points earned (including bonus points) for two Grands Prix over the course of the season. This is indicated in blue in the table below. Entrants yet to use their ‘double up’ feature will automatically have it applied at the final round of the championship provided they enter their predictions per the competition rules. If neither ‘double up’ feature has been used by the final race, only one ‘double’ up will be applied.
Those who are registered to play at the start of the 2013 season will also be asked to nominate the driver and team who will win the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships, respectively. This question will be asked in the Australian Grand Prix round of the championship. The following points structure will be added to the final Grand Prix’s points scores if their guesses are as follows:
25 points each if their nominated driver or constructor wins the 2012 championship
18 points each if their nominated driver or constructor finishes in second place
15 points each if their nominated driver or constructor finishes in third place; and
A bonus 10 points if their nominated driver and constructor wins both titles
Those who join in-season will be awarded a starting score equivalent to the median of the total points scores at the end of the previous round, and will only be eligible to earn round-by-round points.
