Dunlop Series frontrunner Chris Pither will make a return to top-level V8 Supercars Championship driving after securing a co-driver deal for this year’s three Pirtek Enduro Cup rounds.

The 27-year-old New Zealander will drive the #21 Brad Jones Racing TEAM ADVAM Holden Commodore alongside series regular Dale Wood. Pither drove as David Wall’s co-driver with the outfit at last year’s endurance races; the pair achieved a best finish of seventh in the opening leg of the Gold Coast 600.

Dale Wood“Having Chris back in the team is great news for us,” team co-owner Brad Jones said.

“He’s certainly growing as a driver and his results in the Dunlop Series [where he lies fourth overall in a BJR-run Holden Commodore, pictured above) recently show that we’ve definitely got the right bloke.”

“Chris is doing an awesome job in the Dunlop Series at the moment and that’s a great confidence booster leading up to the enduros,” lead driver Wood added.

“Hopefully he can carry that confidence through to us and we’ll have a great result. He’s a good bloke too, really easy to get along with and that’s important!”
