Pirelli has confirmed its tyre compound allocations for the first four flyaway Grands Prix of the season in Australia, Malaysia, China and Bahrain.

Next weekend’s Australian Grand Prix will see the series’ season-opener in Australia feature the Soft and Medium compound tyres, which will also be used in China and Bahrain.

Malaysia hotter conditions and the Sepang circuit’s high corner loads will see the Medium and Hard rubber in use for the season’s second round.

Pirelli is running a modified construction for the coming season, with slightly wider rear tyres creating a larger contact patch, however the tyre choices are identical to those assigned for the same races in 2014.

The Australian Grand Prix takes place at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne from March 13-15.
