The DJR Team Penske V8 Supercars team is continuing with the next phase of its rolling sponsorship model, unveiling the colours it will run on Marcos Ambrose’s car for the upcoming rounds at Albert Park (March 12-15) and Symmons Plains (March 27-29).

The team’s #17 Ford Falcon FG X challenger will carry the colours of worldwide wholesaler the Würth Group – a sponsor with Team Penske’s NASCAR outfit – which employs over 500 people across Australia, supplying assembly and fixing materials in the automotive, cargo, mining, manufacturing and construction industries.

The team ran with a striking Shell livery at last weekend’s season-opening round, the Clipsal 500, in the first of what will be two appearances over the season in that colour scheme.

The Würth livery scheme will be run for the next two rounds of the V8 Supercars Championship season.

“We are delighted that long time Dick Johnson Racing partner Würth has become our naming rights sponsor for the next two events, and more importantly agreed to come on board as an ongoing partner in a multi-year deal,” said Ryan Story, DJR Team Penske’s managing director.

“The rollout of the Würth partnership and livery after our very successful Clipsal 500 with Shell, cements the strategy of bringing together great brands in a more contemporary, marketing focused program.”

Series returnee Ambrose sits twelfth in the Drivers’ Championship standings after a tough opening hit-out on the streets of Adelaide, and will use the coming non-championship round at Albert Park to better familiarise himself with his surrounds and fine-tune his set-up.
