Force India development driver Alfonso Celis Jr will step back into the VJM09 to complete the two-day test following the Spanish Grand Prix.

The test will be Celis’ fourth time in the Force India Formula 1 car, having had a stint in the pre-season test, as well as partaking in two free practice sessions at the Bahrain and Russian Grand Prix.

Celis, who is currently competing with the AVF team in Formula V8 3.5, has stressed the importance of getting track time in an F1 car and continue his learning.

“The goal definitely is to improve step by step, it is my first year in F1, so I have got still a lot of things to learn,” Celis said.

“So, I just have to be really patient and improve everytime I get into the car, and by the end of the year, we can see a big improvement.”
