Lewis Hamilton has shrugged off Felipe Massa’s comments that he should focus more on his Formula 1 career than his personal lifestyle.
Hamilton has recently been pictured spending time with high profiled celebrities like Justin Bieber and FC Barcelona star Neymar Jr, and is actively updating his fans via social media detail about his glamorous lifestyle.
“He [Hamilton] is preparing for his second life after Formula One and it can be a problem for his career,” Massa told Press Association Sport.
“It can maybe take some concentration away, and on some days it can make him lose points.
“He needs to think about his lifestyle. He needs to concentrate, and he needs to put in the first place what is more important for him.”
Speaking at his post-Friday practice press conference, Hamilton addressed Massa’s comments quite amused as the Brazilian crashed out of FP1 within the first 30 minutes.
“I feel good in terms of where the car balance is and in terms of myself,” Hamilton said.
“I think what was really interesting today I saw there was some comment from Felipe Massa about me having to focus on my driving and then he went out in Turn 1! I just think today shows I’m super-focused on my job and I will continue to do so.”
